Hello there. We're the Group 3 in PMC and we named our group as 'HIMYM' or
popularly known as How I Met your Mother :)
We created this blog especially for our Principles of Mass Comm. subject.
This will be an outlet of thoughts, new ideas, and creative write-ups about our
activities in class. ;)
"The worth of a book is to be measured by what you can carry away from it." ~James Bryce
The 15th Philippine Academic Book Fair was held at the Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall last July 12-16, 2011. My friends and I went there on the last day of the exhibit. Going there by means of using public transportation is very difficult because there weren't many available air-conditioned buses that were travelling to SM Megamall. Since we did not want to stay up late, my friend and I went there before noon. Unfortunately, while we were on our way to board the LRT in Ayala, my friend got robbed. After the incident happened, we came to meet our friends and went there altogether to prevent bad happenings. We had our lunch first before we visited the book fair. Afterward, we proceeded to the 3rd level and were happy to finally see the fair.
I saw different book publications and other academical exhibitors as well. We took pictures of ourselves and also the books that were related to our course.
I browsed some and looked at the others that were on the same rack. I also saw books related to medicine, economics, education, computer, research, and many more. Some people were also scanning the materials in the exhibit; some even bought books.
As for me and my friends, we explored the whole place and took time in appreciating the books. I must say that I was quite interested in those books that were related to Mass Communication and Film because those will be helpful to a Mass Communication student like me. :)
