"House without books is like a body without soul."

The 15th Philippine Academic Book Fair took its date last July 12 to 16 at SM Megamall's Megatrade Hall 3. Our Principles of Mass Communication Professor, Sir Johnathan Rondina required us to attend the bookfair this year. At first, we had difficulties in fixing our schedule because attending the bookfair would surely take quite a lot of time. Luckily, Sir Nath gave us time to attend the Book Fair by cancelling one of our classes.

Our trip going to Ortigas was fun. It was already at the peak of rush hour but we managed to travel in a tolerable manner. :)

Before proceeding on the actual venue, we first ate at Mc Donalds to prepare for the battle :)

From Left to Right (Mai Burgos, Allaiza tagle, Rose-Ann Mendoza, Joanna Miguel, Quinlin Roxas, Marcella Orellana)

After that, we proceeded at the venue. Unexpectedly, we saw Miss A at the fair. I was surprise to see her but since she is the best in her field, I believe it would not be so surprising, to see her in those events, rummaging for books. :)

With Ms. Abanto :)

Inside the Book Fair was heaven for me. I saw a lot of books. I love books! I read lots of books. Therefore, that place was my haven.  In every rack, they have different categories which buyers can choose from. And I seem to have a magnetic pull inside me which is connected to Mass Communication Books. There were lots of them! Im so happy! I saw one for editing, for directing, for writing, for the setting up of lights to create a nice angle whether in photography or videos, I saw theories, stories about successful people behind the media, and such. But, but, but, their price are not friendly. Their price can make you cry! 10 thousand pesos for one book. Some were 3 thousand, others were almost 15 thousand. How can I purchase that book? All I have in my pocket are 5oo bucks and even if I have 10 thousand, I won't even think about buying one. Haha.

Mass Communication is ♥!

Books which I've been dying to have. :(

Pictures with the books. Since I can't have them, let me just take a memory of seeing them. :)

My Love, My enemy. ♥

On the other side, I also saw books that would never ever get my interest for life. Mathematics. What’s ironic is that, it is beside the rack of books of my hobby. Computer. Hahaha. I did not open those books, for I know that they are full of numbers and stuffs. Math is my nightmare. I tried to love him, but he doesn’t love me back. And so I quit.

The Fair showcased different books. Even though it majorly consists of academic stuffs, they still have place for children’s books and magazines in there. Happiness! I saw Pugad Baboy and Archie!, which was authentic and best-selling so, for a pocketbook, the price ranges up from 200 to 300 pesos. Yay. :|
After roaming around, we decided to go home. The trip back to our school was unforgettable. Since, the line in the MRT was a blockbuster, we decided to take a bus! And the bus, was more like a roller coaster. Not only because it was moving fast, but also, because we were quite bouncing inside (probably because of the road).
After all the experience we’ve been through, finally, I arrived at home safe and hungry. But the experience I had at book fair, which was my first by the way, will always remain in my memories. I love those books, my only wish is to purchase at least one of those books someday. :)
