I felt very excited! I’ve never been to a radio station before and I wonder how they do such things I hear on the radio. We went to 90.7 Love Radio as our FM Station. We had a tour around and went to Yes FM, Easy Rock, DZRH, and Radyo Natin. The equipments are new and very expensive as they say. The people working there are very friendly and fun to be with. They have 2 computers in front of them the other one serves as their back-up. Their voices are so amazing and they can produce or think of something right a way upon speaking in their microphones. To our surprise Papa Jack was there!! He was good looking and very funny, actually all of them. Who said that DJs’ are not good looking and only their voice make them awesome? It was very inspiring to have a tour there and even offered us to work there. At first when you see their equipments it feels so hard to distinguish which is which. It was very inspiring to have a tour there and even offered us to work there. I also felt a bit nervous because I had the fear that the people working there are snobbish and have an attitude but I was proven wrong.

For our AM Station, we went to Radio Veritas 846 Radyo Totoo, the only Catholic Radio in the Philippines. We went there on a Sunday so the place isn’t that crowded and busy. It was small and limited space for their workers. During workdays, the news room was filled with papers, people and computers. They have 2 work rooms for anchors. It’s just small and old stylish but still it can be hi-tech like the others. It is not as big and classy as the other AM stations. Mostly, the anchors in Veritas are brothers, sisters and priests. It was nice meeting their current president Fr. Anton. Just a trivia, Radio Veritas was established 1969. Cardinal Santos is the one who established it. Pope VI blessed the station. They also have a complete set, production, news room, and technical but not as wide as the others.

For our TV show, we went to Happy Yipee Yehey at ABS-CBN. It was fun and my energy got drained that we ate a lot after the show. We were dancing and laughing. Their production set was awesome. The set was bigger than Showtime’s. It can accommodate 400 people. Toni G, Anne Curtis and Venus Raj are goddesses that descended from heaven. The people working on the set have their own responsibilities and there’s no room for mistakes for it is a live show. They have a lot of cameras in their set. The artists are kind but I didn’t get the chance to have a picture with all of them.

Our trip was very tiring yet an adventure and filled with happiness! Now I know that I really am for Mass Communication J

I learned a lot from our trips to the radio stations and tv stations. It doesn't vary on what course you have took but on your talent and determination in working. Media is a competitive work, you have many competitors, you might say that everyone in that industry can be competing with you so you better keep your job good and as time passes you improve and give the best you got. There are a lot of challenges in media industry, you get yelled at, you'll surely cry when you get scolded, a lot of work that you CANNOT sleep anymore. You have to think fast and you have shorter deadlines. In this job it's not always good time.

Yes, I consider working on both media choices. When we visited the radio stations it made me say that I really am for Mass Comm and I love the job their doing. Especially the "daldal" stuff. I also dreamt of working on TV programs though I know it's harder and I've got to be tough and less sensitive at work or else I'll cry everytime. :)
