@Manilart 2011:)
Last August 24 - 27, 2011 there is a largest event in the country about art exhibits that brings people together especially the ones who really appreciates different kinds of arts.
Our professor didn't required as to go there but our group decided to experience and to explore the awesome exhibits in Manilart 2011. August 24, it's the opening day and only the VIP were invited to come. On the next day, it's Thursday we don't have a major subject by 4 :30 to 7:30 so we decided to go right after our class in Filipino. We leave Taft by 3:45pm and since it's rush our we arrived NBC tent in the Fort by quarter to 5pm. This is my first time to try appreciate arts and to attend manilart. I was really overwhelmed to be part of this event and I'm glad to have this kind of opportunity.

The first time I saw this art it reminds me of a special person from my past that's why I chose this as one of my favorite. I am aspiring to be a good swimmer. When I was in my grade school, my parents enrolled me in a swimming class which I have to attend early in the morning and that time I'm very eager to learn that skill. One of my goals in life is to be a flight stewardess and I've heard that one requirement to pass this job is one must know how to swim.
This art is simple but it really catches my attention. It simply shows a child learning how to swim, just like in life, a child learning how to live. He used to wear goggles to protect his eyes from water. Just like in life, one should used his/her strength as a weapon to survive life and to overcome those pain and challenges.
If I would have given a chance to meet the owner/painter of this art, I would congratulate him and give him a high five for a job well done :)
My 2nd favorite:)
I like this painting simple because it;s simple yet awesome. There is a saying, ''Simplicity is beauty.'' I think that saying fits this painting. I think the painter is little bit emotional because the art is really serious and vulnerable. The girl is like waiting for someone to come. She's expecting someone will come along soon and make her happy and prove to her that FOREVER is not just a word.
