When I first saw this artwork hung in the wall like that, it struck me immediately. The big, jewel-like eyes of the baby gave so much significance to the painting. The eyes controlled the whole picture by letting the people see it first, and then realize the details only after looking at it for some time. I liked this artwork very much because it moves me in a way that the baby’s eyes allow me to think back of my innocent, happy, and carefree memories as a child. When I looked at it for a longer time, it made me realize that I should act now before it’s too late; my conscience was working because of the innocent stare the baby gave me. It is like it was created to promote peace to everyone who saw it, and make people think twice before they do something.

If I were to create a film inspired by this artwork, I think it would be about the baby’s experiences from the moment she is delivered by her mother to the human world. The unspoken things a baby cannot say to her family will be the way of how the film will carry on throughout the end. The persona would be from the baby’s point of view; all her ideas, memories, and insights will be spoken not by her mouth but directly coming from her mind.  The film would be a bit dramatic because it will be shown how the baby thanks her mother for taking care of her by staring at her while she is sleeping and telling her all the things she could not say because she is unable to do so.

This artwork made of brass caught my attention because it was so brilliant, it even moves! I stared at it for a minute, and then realized that some parts of it were actually moving, as in the second layer was rotating to give emphasis on the motionless parts of the brass artwork. I liked it because its elegance in style and bright, gold color gave life to this piece of alloy. I also enjoyed looking at it because personally, I am interested with things that have a vintage-touch in its appearance. The way the branch of the trees stretched out like wild, rays of the sun, and the old, hanging lanterns were just perfect for decoration.

If I were to create a film inspired by this artwork, I think it would be something vintage. The setting would be during the Victorian era, and all the characters would be in bustle dresses and cutaway coats and top hats. The brass tree would be the big, magical tree in the far part of forest outside the town. The story would revolve on the townspeople gathering under the tree to ask for wishes and offer material things for the fairy who lived inside the trunk and is also the one who grants their desires.
